Born in Atlanta, Georgia, I first got my start in music. With a lifelong background in classical piano and a later developed passion for voice, it was when I first started recording music and seeing the behind-the-scenes work for production that first piqued my interest in sound. I was incredibly fortunate that the engineer doing my music took me in as an apprentice, showing me the ropes for all things audio which inspired me so much that I chose to pursue this path in my college education.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Belmont University with a B.S. in Audio Engineering Technology and a Music Minor. My time at Belmont increased my passion tenfold as I got to explore the many facets of audio including Studio Recording, Sound for Film, Acoustics, Circuit Theory, Auditory Perception, Mixing in Dolby, Music Mixing Techniques, and Location Recording. All the while I was further deepening my knowledge in Music, Theory, and History, with my minor that had a classical piano principal focus. Due to my well-rounded education that taught me scientific, technical, and artistic approaches to audio and music, I developed a keen sense of detail ensuring that things are well-balanced and organized while always pushing forward a story.

An internship at Seismic Sound combined with years of freelance post-audio and location recording helped further develop and hone my skills outside of my education. My time at Seismic in particular allowed me to be introduced to the world of TV Audio, and I have been fortunate enough to shadow A2 and TV Producer Assistant work while assisting in vocal tuning and sweetening for shows. Additionally, the studio work has allowed me to become well-versed in mixing for film on the Avid S6 Console and gain familiarity with programs in a post-audio studio, studio maintenance, troubleshooting, as well as session organization, preparation, and file delivery. In addition to mixing music for TV, Seismic does post-audio for film and I have become very well-versed with the processes for dialogue editing, ADR, foley, sound fx editing, and mixing.
